plate of asian style salmon

Ingredients:

  • 2 fillets of wild salmon (I choose wild Alaskan)

  • 1 orange

  • 1/2 lemon

  • 1 thumb sized piece of ginger

  • 1 large clove of garlic

  • 1 tbsp of black miso paste (this can be replace by 2 tbsp of soy sauce)

  • 2 tbsp of toasted sesame oil

Method:

  • 1

Pre heat the oven at 200ºC

  • 2

In a deep bowl, squeeze the juice of the orange and lemon, grate the ginger and crush the garlic, add the miso paste and sesame oil. Whisk well.

  • 3

Add the pieces of salmon and leave to marinate for 10 minutes.

  • 4

Place a baking parchment paper (take a big enough piece where there will be enough left to cover the salmon) on a baking tray and place the salmon on the paper. Pour the marinade on top and cover the salmon with the remainder edges of paper.

  • 5

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes depending on the thickness of the salmon.

  • 6

I like to serve with jasmine rice and steamed pak-choi but you can combine with other vegetables of choice
